Behind the Scenes with the Draplin Design Co

Join Aaron Draplin for an exclusive look behind the scenes at Draplin Design Co. Get insights into his projects, witness the logo-making process from sketch to finalization, and discover Adobe Illustrator tips and tricks. Questions answered. Riddles solved. Enigmas discussed.

Feel Good About Drawing Bad w/Alana & Brett

Join Alana Louise and Brett Stenson as they challenge traditional illustration norms and celebrate the concept of wabi-sabi—finding beauty in imperfection. Dive into abstract techniques, draw inspiration from immediacy, and liberate yourself by purposefully embracing the joy of drawing poorly.

Live Mural Installation
with Kiel Tillman

Mural expert, Kiel Tillman, will be leading a full-day, immersive, hands-on mural installation workshop that details the process AND implementation of prepping and installing a painted mural. Attendees who register for this workshop will be rolling up their sleeves and painting this mural alongside Kiel.

Build-a-Beer
with Brethren

Jordan and Jeremy Coon of Brethren Design Company will be sharing the knowledge they have acquired after designing nearly 300 beer labels. The workshop will be a participation session, and attendees will ideate on a Crop-themed beer label together.

Art of Art Licensing
with Goodtype

In The Art Licensing Blueprint, Ilana & Katie from Goodtype will teach you how to get your art onto products like greeting cards, gift bags, apparel, home goods, and more!
We'll walk you through everything from pricing to building a portfolio to selling your art to buyers.

Workshops are add-ons. All workshop attendees must have General Admission ticket(s)

There Will Be Bleed

If you’ve ever been to a Crop, you’re likely familiar with our live print series, There Will Be Bleed. Every Crop experience has had an exclusive commemorative print for that particular event. Our long-time Industry Print Shop family and this year’s TWBB artist (also old-school Crop fam), Jason Craig, will lead us through the 10th installment of our print series. All General Admission attendees can participate in this portion of our programming and receive a commemorative print. This 10th edition is sure to be incredible. Don’t miss out!

Vendors

Speaking of prints… Crop is home to all sorts of amazing merch vendors. All Crop attendees will have access to our vendor area for two full days during our General Admission keynote programming. Be sure to clear some suitcase, wall, and closet space, because you will most definitely want to bring home some incredible merch from these vendors.

More vendors to be announced soon!!

Our Venue

We’re beyond excited to host Crop 2024 at one of Austin’s most sought after event spaces. Once an iconic train station, Springdale Station is now Austin’s go-to urban event venue known for its abundant indoor and outdoor space, ample parking, and stunning historic backdrops. Nestled right in the heart of vibrant East Austin, there’s plenty to see & do in between programming.

HILTON GARDEN INN

The Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Austin is offering special rates from Crop attendees this year. Steps away from the Capitol, famous music venues, East 6th restaurants, and more. Additionally, the Hilton Garden Inn is only a 10 minute rideshare to our keynote venue and less than a 10 minute walk to our workshop venue. Rooms are limited!
